An award-winning actress.
I completed my BFA in Theatre at Southern Methodist University in 2018, training within a conservatory-level programme and receiving the Engaged Learning Fellowship for research into the intersection of American and Asian performance traditions in Seoul.
Following graduation, I developed a parallel creative practice in playwriting and filmmaking. My short film Within was chosen as Official Selection at the Boden International Film Festival (2022) and the LA Independent Women Film Awards (2022). My play Saffron Stain was selected as a Stage Play Semi-Finalist at the Austin Film Festival (2025), placing in the top “2% of approximately 11,000 submissions”, and has received staged readings at the Annex Theatre's Industry Night Series in Seattle and the GreenHouse Festival at San Francisco State University.
These years deepened my craft—time spent studying what makes language move on the page, what gives a scene its weight, what an audience is genuinely waiting for. The work I make as a playwright and filmmaker informs the actor I am, and vice versa. I am relocating to Seoul, South Korea, in August 2026 and will remain through August 2027. My Korean is at an intermediate level (TOPIK 3). With coaching and preparation, I can audition and perform scripted dialogue in Korean, and I am continuing focused pronunciation and performance training in Seoul.
